Transforming summer for New York City kids.
In 2018, we were brought on by the Fresh Air Fund to produce their annual gala video, a feature story about Camp Tommy, named for and founded by Tommy Hilfiger.
Our initial engagement also included a drone and b-roll package for their new website and branding. Their objective was to establish a “look” for their video assets and website imagery.
During the pandemic, The Fresh Air Fund transformed their programs to reach kids in New York and we were there to capture their evolution. We also provided strategic advice, produced content for their first virtual gala, and co-created “Portrait of Summer”, a kids art initiative to help keep their community connected to the power of their programs.
We all returned to camp in 2022 to create a content package centered around Camp Junior, established in honor of Junior Guzman, a teen who was killed in a brutal attack in the Bronx.
In 2023 we produced the feature gala video about Camp Mariah, founded by Mariah Carey, to honor the 30th anniversary of the camp's founding.
Transforming the field of musculoskeletal health.
Our partnership with HSS began five years ago when we were brought on by Bloomberg Philanthropies to produce HSS’s annual gala video but quickly expanded.
During the pandemic, our partnership grew exponentially. In collaboration with development, we produced the full video content for HSS’s Rheumatology (Brook Shields MC), Pediatric (Nora O’Donnell MC), and Autumn benefit virtual galas, as well as video content to help connect donors to the hospital when they weren’t able to be there in person.
In 2022, we partnered with Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) to produce a series of micro-docs highlighting patients with complex orthopedic cases. What emerged during the process was that each subject expressed how they got their life back due to the care they received at HSS. Seeing the potential for a campaign, HSS asked us to develop ad spots from the original stories.
The resulting campaign, which includes the original micro-docs as well as traditional broadcast and digital advertising spots, launched in February, 2023 The resulting campaign, which includes seven micro-docs with traditional broadcast and digital advertising spots created for each, launched in February 2023 and received a NY Emmy nomination in July 2024.
This project is a perfect example of a good process and partnership yielding great results and of stories reaching their fullest potential.
Transforming the field of lupus research.
Initially, we were brought on by Bloomberg Philanthropies to produce the LRA’s annual gala video but our collaboration quickly grew into a strategic partnership to evolve their storytelling and messaging.
During the pandemic we partnered with the LRA and their event agency partners to produce the full video program for their first ever virtual gala in the fall of 2020, which set fundraising and participation records.
In 2021, we produced the video content segments for the LRA’s first hybrid gala, working closely with their events teams to create content that was as engaging for people in the room as it was for those watching online.
For this year’s gala, which remained hybrid, we were honored to tell the family story of honoree Leslie Hale, whose sister Wendy passed from lupus.
Last year we returned to a full in-person gala to tell the story of lupus warrior Laura Gever.
Transforming the lives of New York City homeless families.
WIN (Women In Need) is the largest provider of family shelter and supportive housing in New York City. In 2023, WIN reached out to us to produce their annual gala video. The goal of the video was to showcase the programs WIN offers to its families as they move from homelessness to housed.
We were inspired by their comprehensive approach to transformation, going beyond ensuring families have safe and secure housing to provide educational, professional, and social programs for human thriving.
We returned in 2024 to produce their annual gala video and are currently in production on a video and b-roll package to highlight their Camp Win programs.
Transforming lives through community-based programs and centers in Lower Manhattan.
In 2023, Educational Alliance approached us to produce the feature video for their annual gala. The goal was to tell the story of The Askwith Kenner Family Resource Center, an initiative started during the pandemic in response to community needs.
We found a shared passion for transformation and collaboration and felt an instant connection around our approach of meeting clients and constituents where they are.
Our initial collaboration was so successful that we will be producing their 2024 gala video.
Transforming the field of education to make educational equity a reality.
In 2021, we produced the full video program for Teach for America NY’s first ever virtual benefit as well as a full-length multi-sourced fireside chat for the events leading up to their benefit.
These projects leverage both our technical and storytelling capabilities and resulted in and powerful and inspiring program that set a fundraising record.
In 2022, when they returned to an in-person gala format, we produced their feature gala video, a community-contributed feature on honoree Meg Whitman.
Transforming college, career, and future readiness for high school students.
In 2021, we were brought on to produce the full video program for the first ever virtual benefit for NAF, a national network of education, business, and community leaders founded by philanthropist Sanford Weill.
Other than the founder video segment, which we filmed in person with Mr. Weill, the entire event was remote recorded and had to be done exclusively on Zoom.
We recorded dozens of interviews with board members and teachers around the country and wove them into a seamless and engaging virtual experience.
Transforming infrastructure to better serve and support communities now and in the future.
In 2017, we were asked by the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) to create a video to introduce and illustrate the concept of High Road Infrastructure and to show an example of High Road Infrastructure in action to a wide and diverse audience across multiple platforms.
The resulting video, “Forging a New Vision,” explores the High Road approach through team member interviews and illustrates the story through dynamic onsite drone footage.
Transforming the landscape for scholars at risk.
In 2019, Scholars at Risk, an organization that offers sanctuary and assistance to scholars at risk around the world, approached us to produce a video for their 20th anniversary gala.
Our in-person filming was set to take place in March, 2020, but was canceled due to the Covid lockdown.
Rather than wait until travel restrictions were lifted, we pivoted and recorded everyone remotely around the world. This was incredibly challenging because most of their interviewees’ locations did not have good internet access and there was a general fear of being recorded.
As always, we worked through these challenges with our client partners and interviewees with sensitivity and care. We also had each scholar read the testimony of another scholar for additional safety.
